Round 5 - Mother's Day and Umpire Appreciation

13 May 2023 by Tod Brealey

Hey Bombers,

I hope that you are all doing well, the sun is shining and it looks like another great weekend of footy. I can’t believe we are one third of our way through the season

Mothers Day
Umpire Appreciation
Congratulations to players

Mother’s Day
We hope all the mums, grandmas, and carers have a wonderful Mother’s Day. As a club, we understand the importance of family and support in our community, and I extend my gratitude to all the mums who make our lives better and keep the Bombers running in so many roles across the club.

Umpire Appreciation Round
This week, we will be celebrating Umpire Appreciation Round. Our club is proud to acknowledge the important role umpires play in our game. We appreciate their commitment, dedication, and hard work in ensuring our games run smoothly. It is quite a buzz to see so many bomber players also wanting to umpire.
Let’s continue to show our values and for all our players, parents, and carers to show their appreciation to the umpires by demonstrating good sportsmanship and respect.
As I shared last week, there is now a white card in place, there are consequences for individuals, teams and clubs if we do not model the behaviour expected of us.

If you are interested in becoming an umpire, details can be found here:

Congratulations to Kaida, Zara, Aiden, Isaac, Oscar, Marcus, Rhys, Tyler D, Tyler S.
On behalf of the club, I would like to congratulate you on your selection for Sydney East or PSSA teams (photo attached is the Sydney East team). We are proud of your hard work, dedication, and commitment to the game. It is a testament to your talent and passion for football. I look forward to hearing about your experience as you gave your to represent our club and community on the bigger stage.

Go the bombers
