I hope that you enjoyed the footy after the mid-season break. Thanks again to everyone who said ‘yes’ and helped up to make the games happen.

The biggest game of the week was at Homebush, it was a remarkable game of the round ball. As a footy club we continue to strive to be more inclusive and the Matilda’s are impressive and we can learn from them. Friday Night footy was back last night with a huge evening of footy at the Hagar with Auskick and then some of the u9 and u10s. Thank you to everyone who made the night a success.

Oh, we also had some Swans visit on Monday. The players were Grill’d with some hard hitting questions like ‘Who wears the most deodarant?’ and ‘What is your favourite ice cream?’

Thank you if you have bought a ticket, we have achieved 40% of our target and currently sitting in the top 10 clubs nationally. Our footy manager Mike Pickett is working with club waratah and the Council to install netting at the southern end and work through final costs for drainage of the oval. Ticket sales contribute to these infrastructure projects.

I shared last week, I wanted to say again, we are not perfect, we are strengthening how we work off the field to make games happen and for players and umpires to enjoy their footy. On behalf of the club, thank you to everyone who continues to assist on game day, from assisting on the BBQ or running the boundary and for contributing to a positive experience for our players and families.
